Africa is well known for its incredible views and vast lands. Along with that comes its wildlife!
If visiting Africa, it would be a mistake not to indulge in the great outdoors. But for those of you who may not relish in all that nature has to offer, here are a couple of accommodations, that allow you to bathe in luxury whilst getting your hands a bit dirty in nature.
Bumi Hills Safari Lodge
Overlooking Lake Kariba, this magical Lodge is a must see. It offers an abundance of incredible experiences, from Safari game tours to boating trips and sunset cruises.
Along with visiting the animals of Africa, meeting the locals and experiencing the culture of a true African tribe is also a must. This fabulous lodge has it all!
Thorntree River Lodge
So not strictly in Zimbabwe, this lodge is set on the boarder between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The stunning property boasts scenic views of Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park.
One of this accommodations true appeals, is its proximity to Victoria Falls, an iconic sight to be seen in Africa.
This Safari lodge is probably one of my favourites. The interior design is just captivating, and 100% reminds you of exactly where in the world you are.
Situated in Matobo National Park, this lodge boasts incredible views and has countless thing to do and see!
On the boarder of Mana Pools National Park sits this stunning safari camp. I don’t think you could get much closer to nature than this.
Sipping on a drink of choice whilst being in arms reach of wild elephants, would quite possibly be a dream come true for me.
As it says in it’s name, this one is a camp, so for those of you that would prefer knowing there is a solid wall between you and nature, this may not be the accommodation for you. However it is definitely one for my bucket list!
Matetsi River Lodge
Relax and enjoy the views… from your own private plunge pool.
This accommodation consists of 2 main camps, with 9 suites in each. Situated in its own private reserve, you will not be short of incredible things to do and see.
Enjoy anything from canoeing to zip lining. You can even take an exhilarating helicopter ride over Victoria Falls.
The Elephant Camp
As it implies in its name, this camp is perfect for elephant lovers everywhere.
A short distance from Victoria Falls, it is in a perfect location. The camp offers views of the falls from its private and public areas. Enjoy a relaxing few hours at their spa, or set sail on a stunning sunset river cruise. Walk with lions or socialise with their resident cheetah. The activities are endless.
Chickwenya Safari Lodge
This camp is comprised of 6 tents, linked by a rustic wooden walkway.
Explore its surrounding areas by land or boat, both unmissable experiences. Encounters with elephants, and walks along the Zambezi River, what could be better!
